About Me

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my profile. I know that finding the right psychiatrist can feel difficult. Many people have experienced care that feels rushed, impersonal, or overly focused on medication.

I take a different approach—one that values connection, trust, and time. I take the time to truly get to know you — your history, challenges, and goals — so we can create a plan that fits you. I see treatment as a partnership built on trust and open communication. When medication is part of care, I ensure it is truly necessary, carefully chosen, and appropriately dosed. I play an active role in helping my patients build therapeutic skills, strengthen coping strategies, and gain meaningful insight into their experiences — key foundations for lasting growth and well-being beyond medication alone.

I am a dual board-certified adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist based in New York City. My training and experience allow me to work comfortably with adults, children and teens across a wide range of mental health conditions, using evidence-based and compassionate approaches.

With over a decade of outpatient experience providing both psychotherapy and medication management, I have also served as the medical director of a Manhattan psychiatric practice, where I supervised other clinicians. Additionally, I have led psychiatric teams in inpatient hospital and day treatment settings and worked extensively in emergency psychiatry and consultation-liaison services on medical units. These varied roles have given me deep expertise in understanding and treating the full spectrum of psychiatric conditions and levels of care.

If you’re looking for a psychiatrist who listens, collaborates, and tailors treatment to your individual needs, I look forward to meeting you and working together toward meaningful, lasting change.

Individualized Care
Customized to Your Needs

Anxiety
Depression

Symptoms may include persistent fear or worry that disrupts daily life, and may include panic attacks. I offer tailored, evidence-based treatments, including therapy and medication management*, to help you overcome distress. I am dedicated to helping you harness the tools to master your anxiety.

Depressive symptoms include low mood, decreased appetite, low energy, irritability, poor concentration, lack of interest, insomnia, hopelessness and thoughts of death. Depression can be debilitating but there is hope. We will work together to address the root causes of distress and develop strategies to foster healing and recovery, through effective therapy and medication management (as needed), customized to your needs.

ADHD

Characterized by inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, ADHD can impede academic, professional and personal relationships.  My practice provides individualized, evidence-based treatments, including therapy, executive functioning and behavioral strategies. If medication is part of the treatment, I will ensure that it is absolutely indicated and the minimum necessary dose.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Marked by relentless intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors, OCD leads to distress and can severely impact quality of life. My practice offers personalized, evidence-based treatments, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and exposure response prevention, and medication management*, to effectively alleviate symptoms.

Trauma Recovery

Child and Adolescent Mental Health

In the most challenging times, one's true strength is revealed.  I will help you build resilience on your path to healing.

Childhood and adolescence is the most impressionable phase of life, and optimal emotional health is crucial during these years. My treatment approach offers a nurturing environment for self-expression and personal growth for your child.  I will work closely with you, the parent and caretaker, addressing all your concerns to empower your child to thrive.

Stress Management

Adjustment to life transitions can be difficult and lead to sleep disturbance, negatively affect work, relationships and school, or even result in one's re-examination of a sense of purpose and goals.  I will walk alongside you on the journey to help you find your inner light and true calling.

*The indication for prescription medications is determined during evaluation.  Not all conditions require medication management.
